About the School
The School of Physical Sciences (SPS) at Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of India’s leading research and teaching departments in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, known for significant contributions to both traditional and interdisciplinary areas since its establishment in 1986; it offers Ph.D. programmes in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, and Mathematics, as well as M.Sc. degrees in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, supported by modern laboratories, state-of-the-art computing facilities, and a well-stocked library, and conducts active research in diverse fields such as condensed matter physics, plasma astrophysics, supramolecular and biophysical chemistry, and number theory, with graduates well-placed in academia and industry and faculty recognised with prestigious awards and major research funding from national agencies.
About the Conference
Advanced functional materials are being extensively utilized across a wide spectrum of human development through diverse technologies. Multifunctional materials and devices play a pivotal role in this progress by integrating multiple physical, chemical, and electronic functionalities within a single system, thereby enabling enhanced performance, miniaturization, energy efficiency, and smart response in modern technologies. In view of the remarkable advancements and vast application potential of these materials, numerous international and national conferences have been organized to bring together scientists, researchers, academicians, and industry experts with shared interests, providing a platform to discuss recent progress in multifunctional materials and devices. In this continuing effort, we cordially invite you to the National Conference on Emerging Trends in Multifunctional Materials and Devices (NC-ETMMD). We believe that this conference will offer a novel, intellectually stimulating, and enriching experience for all participants.
